Costa Rica SHB Tarrazu "Las Lajas" Yellow Honey Process - Microlot (Relationship Coffee)
The Las Lajas micro-mill (also known as Cumbres del Poas) is run by third generation coffee producers Francisca Chacon and her husband Oscar. It is located at 5000 feet above sea level. When they first started their micro-mill they ran into a variety of obstacles, including equipment failures, power outages, and even an earthquake. This prompted them to experiment with natural and honey processed coffees (coffee that is dried on beds and processed with varying layers of cherry left on the bean), and the result is some of the best natural and honey processed coffees we have ever tasted. We are excited to support this incredible farm for a second year by offering their unique and outstanding yellow honey process.
Tasting notes: pineapple, guava, banana
