Our Kenya Nguvu AA Plus coffee is produced by a group of smallholder cooperatives in the Murang’a district, 5700 feet above sea level in Kenya’s Central Province. This cooperative is a comprised of four smaller producers and mills in the region that is home to the Kikuyu tribe, which currently makes up 22% of the population of Kenya. The area is known for the rich, red, loamy soil that contributes to the coffee’s distinct juicy and bright qualities. This coffee was screened and ranked at the highest level, earning two merits of “AA” and “Plus” which reflect outstanding quality as well as the distinct care that went into the production and processing of the coffee. We are excited to offer this intriguing coffee for the first time!
